Watervliet – Lucianne “Lucy” Ryan, 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 19, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Watervliet, she is the daughter of the late Francis and Marjorie (Geer) Doyle.

Lucy married the love of her life, the late Mike “Tex” Ryan on July 10, 1982 at St. Brigid’s Church in Port Schuyler, where they would go on to raise two son’s John and Cody. She was a registered nurse and worked for Anthem Insurance for more than 30 years until her retirement in 2021. Lucy enjoyed spending family vacations in Wildwood, NJ every summer alongside her "Wildwood Crew". Lucy also enjoyed crafting and was an avid Chicago Bears fan, but what she loved most of all was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Lucy is survived by her sons, John F. Ryan and Cody (Cara) Ryan; her grandchildren, Makenzie, Teagan, Delaney and a fourth on the way; her brother, Mike (Alison) Doyle; her sister, Mary Fran (Bob) Williamson; her sisters-in-law, Karen Doyle and Stephanie Doyle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her brothers, John “Jack” Doyle and P.J. Doyle.

Calling hours for Lucy will be held on Wednesday February 22nd from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at The Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway in Watervliet. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 23rd at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Lucy will be laid to rest beside her husband at Albany Rural Cemetery.
